• Kosher supermarkets in Brooklyn, Queens, the Five Towns, Monsey and the Upper West Side are the best bet. Check the snack aisle and the counter near the deli.
• Regular supermarkets occasionally have a kosher section, usually around Yom Tov.
• Delis sometimes sell house-made dried beef. Check who certifies it.
